Frequently asked questions

How does The Pink Line support the fight against Breast Cancer?

$5 from each shield purchased will be donated to a Breast Cancer research organization at the end of October. Follow us on our socials to cast your vote to determine which organization means the most to you for this donation. At the end of the month, we'll reveal which organization was selected and show proof of donation.

What kind of helmet will your shields fit?

All of our shields are intended to fit all helmets!

Our shields are 6.25 inches tall. To accommodate lids like the TL-2 that traditionally call for a slightly taller shield, we do not punch holes for helmet studs.

Our shields are thick enough to keep up with your lid and maintain its shape while being thin enough to allow stud nuts to tighten down sufficiently.

Do you drill holes in your shields for the helmet studs?

No. Our shields are made to fit all helmets. Studs vary in location between different helmet models and even individual leather helmets. Because of this, we cannot punch holes in the shields and expect them to fit any helmet.

To drill your own holes, place the shield snugly in the shield holder (eagle) and push back on the studs to leave an impression on the back of the shield. Use a leather punch or drill to make the holes where the impressions were made.

If you need help, you can always reach out to us via email or DM our socials!

What is patent leather?

Patent leather is a highly varnished leather that has a mirror shine and a perfect color. It is typically the same material used for mirror shine dress shoes on class A uniforms.

Do you tie your Boston shields together?

Of course! Would it really be a Boston if it wasn't tied in the back?
